Black Bear Diner has announced 14 new stores coming in 2024, but it’s unclear which will be franchises and which will be company-owned. These are the seven cities we know for sure are getting a Black Bear Diner this year.

1. Canyon Country, California
There is already one Black Bear Diner in nearby Santa Clarita, but Canyon Country is slated to get an additional one soon, according to the company’s website. Details about the timing of the new restaurant are unknown.

2. Vista, California
Residents of Vista, Calif., will be glad when they get their Black Bear Diner; the nearest location is currently 43 minutes away in Murrieta. Other than the name of the city, not much is known about the where or when of this soon-to-be Black Bear Diner location.
3. Garden City, Kansas
Details are slim on the Garden City location, but it does appear on the Black Bear Diner website, and there are no job postings for that location at the time of this writing. The only other Black Bear Diner location in Kansas is in Olathe.

4. Harlingen, Texas
The new Black Bear Diner in Harlingen will make the third location in the Rio Grande Valley. This store was announced back in 2022 but isn’t open just yet. It will be located at 6706 W. Expressway 83.
5. Quartzite, AZ
Arizona residents will also be getting a new Black Bear Diner in Quartzite. While there are no details about when and where this location will open, this will be the 16th location in the state.
6. Baytown, Texas
The new restaurant in this Houston suburb opened on June 4, 2024. It is located at 4053 East Freeway. There are currently eight other Black Bear Diners in the Houston metro area.

7. Laredo, Texas
Aat 2704 N.E. Bob Bullock Loop, a new location in Laredo opened on July 23. The building’s shell was completed around May 1st, and in less than three months it was complete.
8. San Antonio – Monterrey Village, Texas
This restaurant, at 8614 State Highway 151, is San Antonio’s third Black Bear Diner location. The other two stores opened in 2023. This store had its grand opening in June.
