Shaquille O’Neal Settles Into New Home In Texas; Places Other Texas Property On the Market for $1.7 Million

Just two years after purchasing a home on the outskirts of Dallas, retired NBA player and entrepreneur Shaquille O’Neal has placed the property on the market for $1.7 million.

O’Neal, who is worth a reputed $400 million, decided to sell the property just after purchasing another home also outside of Dallas.  According to Real Deal, O’Neal purchased the new home in Heath, Texas in April through Chexy Trust, an entity O’Neal has used in the past to purchase and manage his real estate acquisitions.

O’Neal purchased his home in Carrollton, Texas in 2022 for $1.2 million. His decision to have a house in Texas would meet his business needs and family responsibilities. O’Neal’s fast food chain, Big Chicken, rapidly expanded into the Texas market. There are currently six locations located throughout Austin, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio. The Carrollton home also allowed him to spend time with his youngest children who reside in Houston with his ex-wife, Shaunie O’Neal Henderson.

Moving On From Carrollton, Texas

As the analyst for “Inside the NBA” unpacks at his new residence , the 5,200-square-foot property in Carrollton is up for grabs and comes with luxuries fit for a millionaire. Boasting five bedrooms and seven baths, the home was built in 2005.

On the main floor is a spacious living room with high ceilings, marble flooring, a gas fireplace and a wall of windows capturing light. Connected to the living room is the kitchen and breakfast area. The kitchen is complete with high-end appliances, expansive counter space and an even larger island with a sink. There’s also a formal dining room for large parties. A library and office space include a wood-burning fireplace and a tiered ceiling. The wood paneling and built-in wall shelving make the workspace a relaxing workspace.

Also on the first floor is the master suite featuring a sitting area and spa bathroom. The remaining bedrooms and bathrooms are located on the second floor with access to two attic areas.

Outside, a saltwater pool with a waterfall and spa area are also present. The garage has space for three cars.
