Drake’s Boeing 767 private jet is trending on social media because it’s getting a remodel.

After laying low since Kendrick Lamar’s diss anthem “Not Like Us” against him has dominated the airwaves since its May 4 release, the Toronto rapper recently revealed the impending redesign on Instagram, with artist’s renditions showcasing a new message on the exterior: “Chances are she’s on board.” This playful update follows the first iteration’s message, “If you’re reading this we left,” a nod to his 2015 mixtape “If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late.”

    Old Plane, New Look

The new look sports a more dramatic look with an overcast sky and lightning.

Inside, the new look will boast three private suites, two living rooms, a business lounge, an entertainment room, and a bathroom with a shower. The interior is adorned with gold and wood accents, carpeted floors, and beige and light purple furnishings.

Dubbed Air Drake, the plane in a customized Boeing 767-200ER, registered as N767CJ. The jet, a gift from cargo company Cargojet, according to Billboard, originally was configured to seat 200 people. The jet’s many cabins, which have a width of 15 feet 6 inches, according to Simple Flying.

Drake first introduced Air Drake in 2019, expressing his commitment to supporting Canadian businesses by partnering with Cargojet. “Supporting homegrown businesses has always been a top priority of mine, so when an opportunity came up to get involved with a great Canadian company, I was honored to do so,” he stated in a press release.

The IG account Hot Freestyles shows off the aircraft’s private suites, living rooms, business lounge, and entertainment room.

Although close to 28 years old, the jet has emerged on Instagram as a tricked-out mode of transportation.

The planes original design featured styling by the late Virgil Abloh and cost reportedly between $80 million and $100 million, according to Simple Flying. No word on how much Drizzy is spending for the revamp.

Air Drake, previously owned by Saudi Arabia’s Mid East Jet and having taken its first flight in September 1996, was acquired by Cargojet Airways in April 2019 before being taken over by Drake, according to Simply Flying.
