    The revered sitcom revolving around the beloved Boston bar has earned its loyal following, and at the time of its airing, countless Emmy Awards. Actors like Woody Harrelson, Ted Danson and Kirstie Alley were just a few of the players to take home the coveted awards for their acting, and the show as a whole won Best Comedy Series a total of four times. In total, it earned 117 nominations.

    6. RuPaul’s Drag Race — 29 Emmy Awards

    RuPaul’s Drag Race is the only reality competition series to make this list, and it has most certainly earned its place. The series, in which a group of drag queens compete against one another to come out on top as the next superstar of drag, has brought home 29 awards in total.

    Another beloved sitcom, The Mary Tyler Moore Show was not only laugh-out-loud funny, but was carried by a cast of characters that each pulled their weight. In a time in which women were depicted as wives and mothers in the world of television, Mary Tyler Moore leading the show as a single, working woman is legendary to this day.

    The famed animated sitcom has been on the air since 1989 and is still going to this day. In total, it has won the Emmy for Outstanding Animated series 12 times.

    Ironically, Frasier , the spinoff of Cheers , has taken home more Emmys than the show it spawned from. Kelsey Grammer was actually nominated twice for his portrayal of the character on Cheers, but didn’t take home a Best Actor win until the spinoff series.
