As for sizing, promotional photos appear to show the usual 12 packs of 12-oz. cans and two-liter bottles, however, it hasn’t been confirmed yet if there will be single 20-oz. bottles.

Though 7UP’s official channels haven’t confirmed the Shirley Temple 7UP release, fans are already bubbling over with excitement.  And while it’s unclear when the new flavor will drop, internet sleuths are predicting mid-to-late October. Major retail chains have already begun displaying the product on their websites, including Target , but it’s currently “out of stock.”

Though 7UP’s latest Instagram post didn’t mention the Shirley Temple 7UP, fans flooded the comments with excitement.  “We need that canned Shirley Temple now,” wrote one user. Another added, “that canned shirley temple better not be a joke.”

Over on the snackolater’s post, people joked how the release had been a long time coming. “Talk about long overdue,” wrote one user, while another said, “I feel like this should’ve been done 15-20 years ago.” However, some criticized the addition of pomegranate flavor: “Pomegranate though? Why did you do that” asked one user. But to the surprise of a few, another user provided an explanation: “The syrup for Shirley temples (grenadine) is made from pomegranates.”

Fans are already thinking of creative ways to use Shirley Temple 7UP, including swapping it into pound cake recipes for a nostalgic twist. “If this is real then the pound cake that's gonna be made from THIS!
