Watch Ariana Grande Weigh in on the Moon Landing—And Fail a Lie Detector Test Doing It

Just because they hail from the land of Oz doesn’t mean Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo aren’t up to date on the world’s biggest conspiracy theories. The two witches from Wicked recently appeared on Vanity Fair’s Lie Detector Test series , and instead of talking about their upcoming movie, the pair decided instead to dive deep into if the moon landing was fake. Keep scrolling to learn what they think.

Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo talk about the moon landing

The viral exchange startswith Erivo—who plays Elphaba in Wicked —asking Grande  point blank: “Do you think the moon landing was fake?”

To which the singer replies, “What do you take me for? No!” But the lie detector said that her results were “inconclusive.”

Erivo rightfully starts cracking up before saying, “ That’s what it’s saying? That’s hilarious—do you think the moon landing is fake?”

Replies a very confused Grande, “No, not until now, not until Stephanie [the test administrator] put that on me!”

The two laugh it off before coming back to the point when it’s Erivo’s turn in the hot seat: When she says she doesn’t think the moon landing was fake, the lie detector agrees this time, causing Grande to freak out.

A New 'Wicked' Trailer Has Just Dropped: What You Need to Know

It’s good to see a new Wicked trailer, isn’t it? It’s almost like the Wonderful Wizard himself blessed us with it right before he went back to Kansas with that girl who melted The Wicked Witch of The West and dropped a house on The Wicked Witch of The East. And let us tell you, […]

“What was I then? I don’t think it was f- - - - g fake either,” the singer yells before asking Erivo, “You don’t think the video is a little, like, you know…?”

The Tony winner replies, “No, I’ve never even questioned it, because so many people have been to the moon since then.”

Grande disagrees with her co-star: “But that’s what I’m saying. Then why aren’t there more videos like that?”

Erivo still isn’t convinced, telling Grande “I don’t know, but I don’t think it’s fake, though.”

This doesn’t make the Dangerous Women singer very happy because she then yells, “I don’t think it is either! I don’t know why Stephanie f- - - -d me up like that. She really got me! Oh god, the whole world is going to think that I think that—and I’m from Florida, you know what I mean? This is a nightmare!”

    Ariana Grande plastic surgery rumors

Another important part of the interview is when Erivo asks Grande what plastic surgery she had done.

In the interview, the singer denies having a boob job, a nose job and a facelift. However, she says she was “open” to the last one, all of which were true according to the test.

“ This is the best day of my life. Take that, you YouTube people," Grande says in response.

Erivo then asks Grande if she’shad a fox eye lift , to which she replied “No, but I discovered it through people who thought I did, and I said, ‘Thank you.’”

Grande also went on record to clarify that she has never had a chin implant but she did have “fillers in various places and Botox, but I stopped like four years ago, and that is the extent. But [I’m] also in full support of all people who do these things work. Whatever makes women, men, non-gender conforming people feel beautiful should be allowed. Why do we care?"

Lastly, Erivo asks her co-star if she’s ever had a Brazilian butt lift (BBL) , to which Grande replied, “Get the f--- out of here! Yes.”

The test said that it detected “deception,” though, causing Grande to clarify what she meant. “No, that wouldn’t work for me. I don’t think that’s my thing. And I’m OK with that.”
