Limited Too Relaunch Includes a New Adult Collection—Here’s How to Find and Shop It

There’s nothing like a walk down memory lane to make us feel all the nostalgic feelings, reminding us of our favorite moments from our childhood, teens and 20s. And one of our favorite (and sometimes most hilarious) walks to take is down fashion memory lane. When we do this, we’re reminded of the leg warmers and shoulder pads of the 80s, bomber jackets and biker shorts of the 90s. As for the early 2000s? Well, the brand that comes to mind for us that ruled this era was Limited Too, the ultra-popular, beloved tween and teen brand that ruled high school and middle school. What is Limited Too?

If you’re not familiar with the brand or just need a refresh to trigger your memory, Limited Too is a clothing retailer that up until now was made for tweens and teens. It perfectly encapsulated the early 2000s, and if you’re a millennial or gen X, there’s a good chance you and your friends rocked Limited Too growing up (or at least were familiar with it).

Limited Too eventually closed in 2008 and rebranded into Justice, which was very similar to Limited Too but was now targeting Gen Z, who were then the tweens of the time. Justice was a major success for many years, but eventually shut down like its sister store, while still being sold on select sites like Walmart.

Limited Too is back—and launching an adult collection

On October 3, the brand announced on Instagram that with their relaunch, they’re not stopping at tween options—they’re launching an adult collection, too! And if you’re like us, this announcement has you jumping for joy. It fills our nostalgic hearts that a brand that was so iconic during the peak years of our teens is now back and, arguably, better than ever.

In their post, the brand stated: “Now, we’re excited to tell you that Limited Too will launch for adults this Spring—a tribute to our cherished OGs that have supported us all along.” They continue to share that a sneak peak will be available during this holiday season, along with a capsule collection.

To get more insight behind the relaunch, we asked Limited Too’s Design Manager Petra Kennedy (who was also part of the brand’s original design team!) the inspiration behind the adult collection.

“Our original customer—the millennial and gen X girl—are our inspiration. We heard what the customer wants, and wanted to give her an adult collection that she could wear and feel great in,” Kennedy says.

She continues, “We are hoping she feels excited and nostalgic about this launch!”

When will Limited Too relaunch?

So, when can you get your hands on the new Limited Too? The brand actually relaunched this past summer at Kohl’s, sticking with their tween sizing and options. However, after launching, they heard from countless OG fans asking for an adult collection. It wasn’t until then that the idea of making clothes for adults really came into fruition.

As mentioned earlier, Limited Too’s adult collection will launch in the spring of 2025, but to give customers an early look (an early holiday present, if you will), they’ll be releasing a capsule collection this holiday season. Below, a sneak peak of the holiday capsule collection.

And the good news doesn’t stop there. Kennedy says that they hope to come out with even more adult collections going forward. “We have lots of newness planned for the future. We see this brand complementing our adult customers' lifestyle and we are excited to give her nostalgic memories through fashion,” she says.
