Blazing a new trail: Roughrider extension will connect Fort Rice and Fort Lincoln
MANDAN, N.D. (KFYR) - A lot of North Dakotans use park trails when they want to get out into nature. One of those trails is about to get quite a bit longer. When State Trails Coordinator Sarah Torgerson gets ready for work, she puts on a hard hat and a reflective vest before heading out to her latest project site. This summer, it’s the Roughrider Trail expansion. She said blazing the trail is moving at a good pace, thanks to the modern equipment the state’s Parks and Rec agency acquired about a year ago.
