Jamestown Farmers’ Market Receives $1,500 Grant to Expand EBT/SNAP Program
JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Community Foundation has awarded a $1,500 grant to the Jamestown Cooperative Farmers’ Market Association to support the implementation of an EBT/SNAP program for eligible citizens, a media release states. The grant will also fund a “double your money” bonus for the first $10 spent by clients using EBT cards during the 2024 market season.

The 2024 World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car campaign rolls on into North Dakota this weekend. The late summer stretch continues with the final visits to the “Peace Garden State” for the year. First up is a Friday, Aug. 23, trip to Grand Forks, ND’s River Cities Speedway. The quarter mile bullring always produces some of the most thrilling action of the season with its high banks and tight confines. Since then, they’ve started a worldwide community called SRVIVRS, who focus on spreading grief awareness and support through community service projects and connecting with other families who have lost loved ones. Joshua’s current mission is the Black Pearl Project: 17,000 miles, 48 state capitol buildings, jogging 40 to 60 miles per day.

(Hazen, ND) — Tigirlily Gold has been nominated for the People’s Choice Country Awards. The sisters from Hazen have made waves in the country music world, and are nominated in the categories “Group-Duo of 2024” and “Group-Duo Song” of 2024 for their song “I Tried a Ring On.” Back in May, Tigirlily Gold won an award for “New Duo or Group of the Year” from the Academy of Country Music. The People’s Choice Country Awards will be held at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville on September 26th.
