I-40 East stretch closes for weekend bridge repairs; detours set
ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — A stretch of I-40 will be closed from Friday, July 19 at 8 p.m. through Monday, July 22 at 6 a.m. between I-26 and Hendersonville Road. I-40 East from the I-240 East/I-26 West interchange (Exit 46B) to Hendersonville Road (Exit 50) will be closed to allow crews to work on the eastbound bridge over Hominy Creek and Hominy Creek Road.
