Jody Davis, owner of Hometown Realty, noted that increased demand and limited housing supply have driven up prices. However, as interest rates rose, potential sellers became hesitant to list their homes, creating a buyers' market where buyers can be more selective. The median home price in Mississippi is now approximately $263,000, reflecting a 1.7% increase from the previous year.
