FLORAL PARK, N.Y. (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — Two men were arrested for a home construction scheme that targeted seniors on Long Island on Monday authorities said.

According to detectives, David Young, 31, a Philadelphia resident and Adam Turner, 25, who is homeless, were illegally posing as unlicensed home improvement contractors for "Top Line Masonry" and would offer to perform construction on homes owned primarily by seniors.

Young and Turner would defraud the victims by falsely reporting/causing more damage, authorities said.

Following an investigation, a 2012 white Ford F150 matching the description of the vehicle used in the scheme was spotted near the intersection of Revere Drive East and Revere Drive East in Floral Park and both men arrested, officials said.
