There is now a Weezer wall in Brooklyn
Weezer are celebrating the 30th anniversary of their classic 1994 debut, Blue Album this year, with a big arena tour with The Flaming Lips and Dinosaur Jr., “Voyage to the Blue Planet,” beginning in September. The tour hits NYC on Madison Square Garden on September 11, but they’ve brought Blue Album to The Big Apple ahead of that, with a new Weezer wall in Brooklyn. The wall, located at 283 4th Ave, now sports a stylized version of the album cover, with the outlines of silhouettes in place of the band members, and the Weezer logo; it was already painted blue, housing Square Design Inc, who Weezer thank for the wall space. The 137th annual OLMC Feast in honor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and San Paolino Di Nola was held on July 10 – 21.
