Florence Copper offers scholarships to local students

Local high school students can now apply for t he Florence Copper Creating Opportunities Scholarship.

Since the program was established in 2011, Florence Copper has awarded more than $80,000 in scholarships to students in Florence and surrounding communities, according to the company's website.

Applicants must live in Florence and/or attend school in the Florence Unified School District boundaries. Scholarships will only be awarded for full-time enrollment at an accredited two or four-year college, university, business, or trade school based in the United States.

Students can fill out their applications at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/95YVXK8 . Applications will close April 21 at midnight.
