Florence looks for board, commission members

The Florence Town Council is seeking qualified applicants for several boards and commissions.

The following boards and commissions have openings:

• Board of Appeals: one position
• Planning & Zoning Commission: one position
• Community Services Advisory Board: two positions
• Historic District Advisory Commission: three positions
• Florence Teen Council: Open to high school students grades 9-12 within the town of Florence

The recent appointment of Cathy Adam to fill the town council seat left vacant by the resignation of Michelle Cordes created the open positions on the Board of Appeals and the Planning & Zoning Commission.

Applicants (except for the Teen Council) must be a qualified elector at least 18 years of age.

The first review for the positions above will be on June 3, 2024. Positions will remain open until filled.
