Pool party for Florence teens

A teens only pool party at the Florence Aquatics Center takes place Thursday.

The party is an opportunity for local teens from ages 13 to 18 to dance, take part in activities and hang out poolside with their friends, a town of Florence Facebook post stated.

Hosted by the Florence Teen Council, the party runs from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at 174 W. First St. The entrance fee is $2 per teen.

There are plans for a second teen pool party later this summer.

The Florence Aquatics Center opened for the summer during the Memorial Day weekend.

Locals can enjoy the center’s amenities, including a competition lap pool, diving boards, water slides and a family play pool with a zero-depth entry for kids. The center also has shaded areas and a family dressing room.
