First Saturday means free progrms and no entry fee to the Pinal County Historical Museum.

First Saturday at the museum takes place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., June 1 at 715 S. Main St. Story time takes place at 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Story time in June will feature the history of Juneteenth and coloring activities. Kids can create a Juneteenth celebratory magnet, as well.

The entry fee for adults is waived during First Saturdays and people under 19 always get in free.

“And with the warmer weather bringing out all of Arizona's crawly critters, our younger guests can enjoy a story of the ‘Roadrunner and the Lizards,’ followed by coloring activities and more,” stated Barb Kelly, the visitor experience manager at the Pinal County Historical Museum in an email. “The artwork can be taken home or displayed at the museum on our kids’ wall.”

The museum also hosts scavenger hunts and museum bingo in which the whole family can participate.

The Pinal County Historical Museum has started its summer hours of 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. The museum is closed on all major holidays and will be completely closed in the month of August, reopening in September.

The fee to enter the museum during regular hours is $7 for adults; $5 for seniors and members of the military.
