Pinal County’s new election building will officially open to the public in Florence on Tuesday.

A ribbon cutting for the Pinal Votes Building will take place at 9 a.m. at 320 W. Adamsville Road. This marks the return of the Pinal County Elections department to Florence after many years in Coolidge.

The new 53,000-square-foot facility replaces the 12,000-square-foot site in Coolidge. It adds increased security for staff from voter registration, early voting, voter outreach and the elections department, which will be housed under one roof for the first time.

Construction on the $32-million facility began in March 2023, and it was completed on time and on budget, according to a press release from Pinal County.

Design of the facility was spearheaded by Recorder Dana Lewis and Board of Supervisors Vice Chairman Jeffrey McClure.

Expected to join Lewis and McClure at the ribbon cutting is Board of Supervisors Chairman Mike Goodman

The public is invited to attend the ceremony and no RSVP is required.
