The Freeman Fire southeast of Florence and northwest of Oracle remains at 32,568 acres but firefighters now have the blaze 75% contained.

"The fire continues to sit within its footprint and all lines continue to hold," the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management reported Tuesday. Containment  is along the north, east, southeast and northwest flanks of the fire. All local roads within the fire area are now open. "As drivers are going through the area, please use caution as many crews are still working along the southwest flank and engines are still patrolling the fire's perimeter." the department stated.

The fire started July 11, following a lightning strike near the Oak Well Camp. Lightning caused a second fire about a mile away that merged with the first blaze to create the Freeman Fire.

On Sunday, the GO status -- or immediate evacuation order -- for residents of Willow Springs Ranch was lifted.

Due to the wildfire, residents in the Florence area were being asked to be mindful of the air quality. Those with respiratory conditions are advised to limit outdoor activities and stay indoors as much as possible until conditions improve.
