The four-time Grammy Award winning singer, sonwriter and author Rosanne Cash is coming to Connecticut. She will be making her third appearance at The Ridgefield Playhouse on August 9, 2024 at 8 pm. The venue is located at 80 East Ridge in Ridgefield, Connecticut. This special event is part of the Mountain Dew Country & Bluegrass Series.

Raised in Nashville, she is the eldest daughter of country legend Johnny Cash. She was called “one of the most ambitious and literary songwriters of her generation” by Rolling Stone Magazine. The country artist's music draws from many different genres, such as folk, pop, blues and mostly Americana. Her most successful single was her 1981 breakthrough hit ''Seven Year Ache''. This breakthrough hit topped the U.S. Country Singles Chart as well as spending time in the Top 30 of the Pop Charts.

''Cash won a Grammy Award in 1985 for ''I Don't Know Why You Don't Want Me'' and has received 12 other Grammy nominations. She has had 11 No. 1 country hit singles, 21 Top 40 country singles, and two gold records. Cash was the 2014 recipient of Smithsonian magazine's American Ingenuity Award, in the Performing Arts category,'' as stated on Wikipedia.
