Connecticut loves their wine! Here we have some of the most beautiful vineyards and winereries New England. They are the perfect destination for tastings, winery tours and of course, the gorgeous vineyard views. Luckily, the Connecticut wine trail reaches every corner of the Nutmeg State. Here are the finalists, runner up and winner of the “Best of CT” consumer voting survey.

These two finalists are well-known to Connecticut residents. The first is Sunset Meadow Vineyards, which is family-owned & operated and located at 599 Old Middle Street in Goshen. ''We pride ourselves on offering you high-quality, estate-grown and sustainably-farmed wines. Our wide selection of wines has something for everyone, and our knowledgeable staff will help guide you to your perfect wine.''

Another finalist is Gouveia Vineyards which is steeped in rich Portuguese culture. It is located at 1339 Whirlwind Hill Road, in Wallingford. ''Inviting visitors to slow down and make memories with loved ones over great food and wine. The motto here is “Come for the wine, stay for the view.” Try a wine flight — sip any five of the 17 varietals grown on-site — while you overlook 140 acres of lush, rolling hills and vineyards.''

Voted as the runner-up from wine consumers is Hawk Ridge Winery, one of the fastest-grown-ing wineries in Watertown. Located at 28 Plungis Road in Watertown, it's a horse farm turned fully-functional farm and vineyard. ''Hawk Ridge has a robust menu of shareables and sandwiches, beer, and of course, wine. Table reservations are available on the weekends, but your whole party must arrive between noon and 1:00 p.m. This winery hosts live music and social events, like "paint & sip" projects and charcuterie-making classes.''

And the winner is...Priam Vineyards! Found along the Connecticut wine trail in Colchester. It is located at 11 Shailor Hill Road with their ''14 award-winning wines. You’ll find crisp, fruit-forward white wines, tart, creamy and smooth red wines, a sweet riesling and two types of rosé here. In addition to enjoying wine at this CT winery, take in the entertainment and community programming: comedy shows, live music, workshops, vendor fairs, food trucks and more. The vineyard is also available as a wedding and special event venue.''
