Connecticut, I have some very exciting news for ''American Idol'' fans! The ABC hit series "American Idol" will host live Zoom auditions for Connecticut residents. The auditions will take place on August 21, 2024, ahead of season 23 of ''American Idol''. This was announced last week by a show representative.

''During Connecticut auditions, "American Idol" alumna Jayna Elise will join contestants in the waiting room for a Q&A and will be available to offer audition tips. The performer from Washington, D.C., was a contestant during season 22 and was eliminated during the top 12 week. Those interested in auditioning can sign up online. Aspiring contestants must be born between June 2, 1995 and February 15, 2010, according to the show's website,'' according to CT Insider.

''American Idol'' is a singing competition television series. The popular reality tv show discovers new talent, from a pool of unsigned singing talents. The winner is determined by American viewers who watch their favorite contestants faithfully by using phones, Internet platforms, and SMS text voting. The past winners have included; Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Nick Fradiani, Fantasia, Jordin Sparks, David Cook, Scott McCreery, Taylor Kicks, Just Sam, Noah Thompson and many others throughout the shows 22 seasons.
