    Exciting news for ''Dancing With The Stars'' fans! It has been announced by ABC that olympic medalist Stephen Nedoroscik is set to compete on ''Dancing with the Stars'' which was just announced Thursday on ''Good Morning America''. The Olympian will compete on Season 33 of the popular series. Stephen Nedoroscik will be the first male gymnast to compete on ''Dancing With the Stars'' for the Mirrorball Trophy.

    The 25 year-old is the first contestant announced for the up coming season. He is a two-time Olympic medal winner, who hails from Worcester, Massachusetts. ''The gymnast won a bronze medal on the pommel horse during the Paris Olympics and also helped secure a bronze medal in the team final. He was the subject of numerous internet memes, particularly after a moment where he looked like he was asleep,'' as reported by USA Today.

    ''Dancing With the Stars'' premiered on the ABC network on June 1, 2005. It's a reality dance competition series in which 'celebrities perform choreographed dance routines that are judged by a panel of renowned ballroom experts' according to the DWTS website. Season 33 will premiere on September 17, 2024 and will air on ABC, Disney+ and Hulu.
