Alex Guarnaschelli is a world famous chef. She is known for several different television cooking shows she hosts and stars in on the Food Network. Her popularity has risen to new heights in the last few years, thanks to her series ''Alex vs America'' on the Food Network.

Besides having a successful television career, and being the author of several cookbooks, Alex Guarnaschelli is also the Executive Chef, as well as the Owner of Butter Restaurant in Midtown Manhattan. Here are some of the best tips and easiest hacks you can use in your kitchen as well as your cooking.

These cooking tips and tricks are from the Tasting Table website. The first sounds like a no brainer, for an extra layer of flavor, add a little sea salt and cracked pepper to butter. Next time you grab a warm roll or toasted baguette out of the oven, add a little seasoned butter to it. You will elevate your bread & butter game to the next level.

One of my favorite ideas is to bulk up mashed potatoes with other root vegetables. Since potatoes ARE root vegetables, the chef ''likes to incorporate vegetables like sliced turnips or sunchokes into her mashed potato recipe. She notes that these ingredients can help stretch the mashed potato recipe, as well as provide a boost of vitamins and minerals.''

Another great taste hack is to spicing up your deviled eggs with some cayenne pepper. She suggests you substitute paprika ''which is used for a pop of color and flavor on deviled eggs, with its spicier cousin — cayenne pepper.'' I also need to mention that one of Chef Alex's favorite ways to notch-up her dishes is to add flavor to recipes with Worcestershire sauce. She keeps bottles in her pantry at all times!

Lastly, a great trick for cooking bacon is to blanch bacon in water first ''Her technique is derived from the French method of cooking meat by blanching it in water. Guarnaschelli applies this method to cook the bacon in half an inch of water to keep the bacon moist and to prevent the oil from splattering all over the stove.''

So, cooking the bacon in water is a game changer. I do it because I saw the chef alex's video on Instagram last year and tried it. Bacon comes out perfect every time.
