    Just announced! Rapper Kendrick Lamar will headline the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show! The organizers of this extraordinary event; the NFL, Roc Nation, and Apple Music have just announced the popular Hip Hop artist will be the headlining performer. The announcement was strategically made on Sunday, which was the kick off of the football season. Super Bowl LIX will take place on Sunday, February 9, 2025 in New Orleans.

    ''He shared the news Sunday in a YouTube video that showed Lamar on a football field in front of a giant American flag. "My name is Kendrick Lamar, and I'll be performing at Super Bowl LIX," he says in the clip. "Will you be pulling up? I hope so." Roc Nation, Apple Music and the NFL confirmed the news in a news release, and the NFL shared a promotional poster on X that showed Lamar sitting on a football field, according to USA Today.

    Kendrick Lamar is known worldwide as a rapper and songwriter and is regarded as one of the most influential Hip Hop artists of his generation. He is also known as one of the greatest rappers for his technical prowess and complex lyrics and songwriting. In 2018, Kendrick Lamar had the great honor of being awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Music. This was the first time a musician, outside of the genres of classical and jazz music, was honored with this prestigious award.
