It is beautiful in New England this time of year, especially in Mystic, Connecticut! It is cetainly a magical time, especially if you love to be outdoors. There are so many seasonal activities to enjoy in the Nutmeg State. Connecticut has always been known for it's beautiful fall foliage and exceptional produce farms filled with apples and pumpkins, people come from all over the country.

Because Autumn is the most excting time of year in New England, here are some fun activities and beautiful places to visit from the This is Mystic website. They partnered with Kristy Carmichael of Kristy & New England (@kristynewengland) and curated this fabulous list of really fun and exciting things to do in Mystic during the Fall weather months. For the full list, visit the This is Mystic website.

If you love apple cider donuts and a cup of delicious hot cider, you definitely want to make a stop at B.F. Clyde’s Cider Mill in Stonington: ''Classic Mystic fall staple for cider donuts, slushies, hot apple cider and a bit of New England old time charm. Season starts in September with sales of hard ciders and apple wines, jams, jellies, local honey, maple syrup, fudge, and what many people call “The best sweet cider on Earth!”

You may also want to try a truly beautiful trip taking an autumn boat ride on the Mystic River Cruises in Stonington: ''Catch a ride aboard an antique picnic boat and glide down the Mystic River taking in the shoreline’s fall foliage, historic district, Mystic Seaport Light, and Mystic River Bascule Bridge (the drawbridge). Bring a blanket for those crisp autumn days. Captain Eric offers a 9 AM and Fall sunset tours.''

Another wonderful place for some truly fun Fall family activites is Whittle’s Farm in Noank: ''Whittle’s Willow Spring Farm stand, pumpkin patch, piglets, and a sweet spot for a family photo. In the fall, pick out your pumpkin in their adorable harvest patch with tractor/hay stacks and a giant pumpkin on display. There’s also good ole fashioned apple picking (Macs, Cortland, and more) at discounted per pound rates. Fall mums for sale too!''

And lastly, for a great meal don't forget the beautiful waterfront restaurant, Red 36 Bar & Grill on Washington Street in Mystic: ''Eat, drink and take in the river views and even leaf peep from the deck of Red 36. Featured: Hot Chowder (clear or classic New England), Lobster Roll, and Autumn Sangria.''
