Flood watch today with heavy rain possible
Much-needed rain will stream through the area today. An area of low pressure to our south will move through our area, bringing the potential for heavy rain. The front is still stalled along the coast to start the day, but as the low moves closer the front will drift west. An areal flood watch is in place until midnight as excessive moisture (high humidity) leads to heavy downpours. Some storms will produce rainfall rates of 1 inch to 2 inches per hour.
