SPRINGDALE, Ohio — A pedestrian is dead after she was hit by two vehicles on the interstate overnight, according to the Springdale Police Department. Brown County community comes together after devastating fire
SARDINIA, Ohio (WKRC) - A Brown County community is coming together after a fire brought down one of Sardinia's oldest buildings. Firefighters from 13 different departments, including the Eastern Joint Fire & EMS District, battled the flames for nearly five hours on Thursday evening. Crews were dispatched to 120 Winchester Street around 10 p.m. No injuries were reported. The cost of the damage and the cause of the fire are unknown.

Westfield veteran calls for change to property tax law
A Westfield veteran has started a grassroots campaign to lobby elected leaders at the state level to increase the property tax deduction for veterans in Indiana. Mike Madigan served in the U.S. Marine Corps in Vietnam. Yesterday, the Indiana Arts Commission (IAC) announced it has awarded $18,215 to Lubeznik Center for the Arts (LCA) through the Arts Organization Support grant program. During its June 14 Quarterly Business Meeting, the Commission approved funding recommendations for the Arts Project Support and Arts Organization Support grant programs.
