Florence police name new captain and lieutenant
Florence Chief of Police Jeff Mallery announced two promotions within the department during a city council meeting Monday evening. A member of the police department for over 20 years, Lieutenant Nathan Rettig, was promoted to the position of police captain. Rettig has held the positions of officer, corporal, sergeant and lieutenant.
