Florence's Story Walk becomes art walk

The town of Florence’s Story Walk in Heritage Park has been transformed into an art walk.

While strolling through the park, residents can admire art created by youngsters from the community.

The Story Walk has 15 art pieces on display for all to enjoy.

“A big shout-out to our young artists in Florence — you’ve outdone yourselves,” a town Facebook post stated. “So, grab a friend, enjoy the fresh air, and take in the beautiful art at Heritage Park.”

Story Walk began in 2022 when the town library was awarded $5,000 from the Arizona State Library, Archives and Public Records. The money was used to purchase sign materials and to print a selection of storybook pages.

The goal of the project is to build community through self-directed learning.
