Neodesha City Commission Approves Resolution for Downtown Improvements
The City of Neodesha takes the first step toward a downtown renovation. At this week's City Commission meeting, commissioners heard from representatives from the Griffith Group. The group wants to renovate the Brown Hotel in downtown Neodesha by turning it into apartments and office space. A representative from Neodesha's bond counsel Triplett, Woolf & Garretson Andrew Kovar says the resolution before the commission signals the city's willingness to proceed with the project.

A senior living facility with skilled nursing and assisted living services planned near Lake Olathe is one step closer to reality. Mark it seven straight years that Barton Community College has finished as one of the top three most successful athletic programs in the country. The National Alliance of Two Year College Athletics Administrators (NATYCAA) judges all community colleges across the country on how their teams finish at national competitions. South Carolina, UMass and Marshall’s athletic departments all announced Marcum’s death Wednesday, a day after he died. Arkansas coach John Calipari, who worked under Marcum at Massachusetts, posted on social media Sunday that Marcum was hospitalized after complications from a stroke.
