USD 253 Board of Education approves tentative agreement for staff for 2024/25 school year as part of regular meeting Wednesday evening
Base salary and district insurance premium contributions will increase for USD 253 staff this coming school year. As part of their regular meeting Wednesday, USD 253 board members approved the tentative agreement for licensed professional staff. Among the package’s highlights was a better than 1 percent pay increase “across the board” according to Assistant Superintendent of Business Operations Pam Stranathan.
Lawrence Public Library to celebrate 10 years of ‘new’ building at summer reading Last Bash
The Lawrence Public Library will celebrate 10 years in its renovated building as part of its annual summer reading Last Bash on Friday. The party will start at 5 p.m. Friday, July 26 in the library lobby and auditorium with music from No Bow Tie and Chris Luxem & Nathan Dixey, followed by a dance performance by Dance Hues Studio and an aerial arts show by The Last Carnival, according to the library’s event page.
