Riley County Genealogical Society to Host 4th Annual Pie Party on Platt House Lawn
The Riley County Genealogical Society will host its 4th Annual Pie Party on the lawn of the Historic Platt House in Manhattan on Sunday, September 15th at 2:00 p.m. The party will feature the local Acoustic Folk n Roll Band the “Grateful Dudes” performing at 2:30. Judy Regehr with the Genealogical Society said the idea of a Pie Party came about after a Kansas State University Professor’s Retirement Party.

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Labor Day weekend gas prices are the lowest in the past three years, AAA says. The national average for a gallon of unleaded fuel on Friday was $3.35, according to AAA. That’s 2 cents lower than $3.37 a week ago, 14 cents lower than $3.49 a month ago and 47 cents lower from $3.82 a year ago.
