July edition of Florence After 5 postponed due to weather

FLORENCE, S.C. (WBTW) — The July version of the Florence After 5 block party has been postponed to next week because of inclement weather, according to a news release.

The award-winning block party was originally scheduled for Friday, but has been moved to Aug. 2, the release said. Tru Sol Band is set to hit the stage in next week’s event.

“We are grateful that Tru Sol Band was able to reschedule for the weather,” Development Manager Hannah Davis said in the release. “This East Coast party band is a Florence After 5 fan-favorite, and we’re so glad to have the opportunity to bring them back.”

Florence After 5 is held in the 100 block of S. Dargan Street in downtown Florence and takes place on the last Friday of each month from May through September. Attendees can bring chairs, but outside coolers are not permitted.

July’s rescheduled event is set for Aug. 2, and the next regularly scheduled Florence After 5 is set for Aug. 30.
