The Florida Keys & Key West, a chain of islands, is upgrading its facilities for business meetings and events, emphasizing sustainability and eco-tourism. Jack Meier, from the Keys' Monroe County Tourist Development Council, said that resorts are enhancing group programs and enlarging outdoor event spaces to cater to more attendees. The Keys are suitable for meetings of 15 to 100 attendees, offering educational and networking opportunities through local nonprofits focused on environmental conservation and historic preservation.

Travel to the Keys has become easier, with six airlines offering over 20 direct flights from 21 major U.S. cities. Key West International Airport (EYW) has seen a 20% rise in airline seat capacity and over 450,000 passengers in the first quarter of 2024. The airport is planning an expansion, due for completion in 2026, which will include more gates, restrooms, and improved service areas.

EYW has new venues including a beach bar at baggage claim, a Chili’s restaurant, and a market. Signature Aviation has opened a new private terminal with covered parking, a patio with views, and a pilot’s lounge with work areas and a café.

In Key Largo, the Baker's Cay Resort is upgrading its rooftop garden with a variety of fresh produce to improve its menu. The resort is also introducing sustainability measures such as eliminating single-use plastics in meeting setups, using handmade organic confetti for weddings, offering refillable water bottles, and organizing team activities with local conservation groups.

The Islander Resort Islamorada, a beachfront resort, is undergoing renovations due to be completed by mid-December. The resort has refurbished guest rooms and amenities, and introduced new resort activities. Renovated bungalows feature updated rooms and suites with new furniture and interiors, private patios, and lush foliage. The resort's indoor meeting space is also due for renovation.
