But with real estate values soaring in recent years, Florida can also be expensive.
If you love the idea of spending retirement somewhere warm but aren’t sure if Florida is the right place, check out these 15 retirement destination alternatives to the Sunshine State.
Even in the middle of winter, temperatures in Biloxi still hover around 60 degrees, making its white sand beaches a great alternative to Florida.
You’ll find casinos for entertainment if you like gambling. And, of course, you will also find that laid-back beach lifestyle. Plus, Biloxi has an affordable cost of living compared to many places in Florida.
