DeSantis Issues State Of Emergency Ahead Of Invest 97L

(Tallahassee, FL) -- Most of Florida is under a State of Emergency. Governor Ron DeSantis issued the emergency yesterday ahead of Invest 97L. The state of emergency covers 54 counties.

DeSantis says there are reports that Invest 97L could develop into a tropical depression over the weekend and early next week over the Gulf near the peninsula. He warns that could lead to heavy rain with up to 12 inches possible over the next seven days.
