    Vote for the 321preps Athlete of the Week for Sept. 30-Oct. 5, 2024

    It is time again to vote for the 321preps Athlete of the Week at 321preps.com and floridatoday.com.

    The following athletes were nominated for their performances from Sept. 30-Oct. 5. You will find the ballot at the bottom of the page. Be sure to refresh if the poll isn't visible upon first loading. Voting will be open until noon on Thursday.

    The last winner was Killian Coy of Titusville swimming. Find a list of the 2024-25 winners at the bottom.

    Coaches and athletic directors are invited to nominate athletes each week. E-mail the athlete's accomplishments for the previous Monday through Saturday to cbanks@floridatoday.com by 10 a.m. each Monday.

    Here are this week's nominees:

    Abby Clayton, Cocoa Beach swimming

    Clayton won the 200 IM and the 100 backstroke at the Cape Coast Conference meet on Friday.

    Sadie Dempz, Viera diving

    Last Thursday, Dempz won first place in diving at the Cape Coast Conference meet.

    Noah Flores, MCC football

    Flores caught two touchdown passes in the Hustlers' win over Halifax Academy. He also finished with 10 tackles, including two tackles for loss.

    Michael Girard, Viera cross country

    Girard ran a time of 16:00.1 to place first at the Harmony XC Invitational last Saturday.

    Kalani Hannum, Melbourne bowling

    Last Tuesday, Hannum bowled a 257 game in a match against Satellite at Shore Lanes Palm Bay.

    Nicole Riopelle, West Shore swimming

    At Friday's Cape Coast Conference meet, Riopelle placed first in the 50 freestyle and the 100 butterfly.

    Elena Rollen, Rockledge swimming

    Rollen won first place in the 200 freestyle and the 100 freestyle at the Cape Coast Conference meet.

    Michael Rogers, Melbourne football

    Rogers finished with two rushing touchdowns and also threw two touchdown passes in the Bulldogs' win over Bayside.

    Lucy Ryals, Brevard HEAT volleyball

    Ryals finished with 13 kills and 13 digs in a win over Calvary Chapel. and 17 kills, one ace, 20 digs in a win over Heritage last week.

    Lucas Smit, Palm Bay diving

    Smit placed first in diving at the Cape Coast Conference meet last Thursday.

    Debbie Walley, Edgewood volleyball

    In a win over Space Coast last Monday, Walley finished with 36 assists, one ace, and 18 digs. Walley also had one ace, nine digs, and 27 assists in the Red Wolves' win over Cocoa Beach last week.

    Lily Wood, Titusville volleyball

    Wood finished with a total 33 kills, 46 digs, and seven aces in three Titusville wins last week.
