321preps football: Brevard County Week 8 high school football rankings

There's very little movement in this week's rankings with two teams swapping spots and one new team making its way back into the rankings.

Due Hurricane Milton several Week 8 Brevard County games have been canceled or rescheduled.

Our current rankings of the top 10 high school football teams in Brevard follows:

1. Cocoa (3-3)

The Tigers faced another top team Friday night in their loss to Miami Norland . Cocoa will play the Villages Charter on Oct. 18. Last Week: 1.

2. Eau Gallie (6-0)

Eau Gallie was off last week and are scheduled to play a district game against Merritt Island this Friday. Last Week: 2.

3. Merritt Island (5-1)

Coming off a bye week, the Mustangs will go up against undefeated district opponent Eau Gallie. Last Week: 3.

4. MCC (5-1)

The Hustlers have won three straight games and have not allowed a touchdown in any of those three wins. This week, they go on the road to True North Classical. Last Week: 5.

5. Titusville (2-4)

Titusville dropped their road game against Seminole last week. The Terriers are set to play a district game at Satellite. Last Week: 4.

6. Rockledge (3-2)

The Raiders picked up their second loss of the season against Mandarin. They will play a district road game at Deltona on Oct. 15. Last Week: 6.

7. Viera (3-4)

Viera lost to Spruce Creek in Week 7. The Hawks' next game will be a home district game against Osceola on Oct. 15. Last Week: 7.

8. Heritage (2-4)

The Panthers take on Fort Pierce Westwood after being off in Week 7. Last Week: 8.

9. Melbourne (4-3)

The Bulldogs bounced back in Week 7 with a road win over Bayside. Next Tuesday, they go on the road to play Lyman. Last Week: 9.

10. Astronaut (5-2)

Astronaut picked up back-to-back wins and are back in this week's rankings. The War Eagles host the Villages Charter next. Last Week: unranked.
