    When will Disney, Universal reopen? These Florida theme parks closed for Hurricane Milton

    If you haven't canceled or adjusted your theme parks plans already for this week, it's already been done.

    Ahead of Hurricane Milton's landfall , all of Florida's major theme parks have closed for the next few days to prepare for the storm and to keep guests and employees safe.

    As of Wednesday, Oct. 9, Hurricane Milton is expected to make landfall along Florida's Gulf Coast, possibly just south of the mouth of Tampa Bay . The path will fluctuate and has a margin of error at 24 hours of about 40 miles, the National Hurricane Center in Miami said.

    Landfall is expected to happen anywhere from late Wednesday night to early Thursday morning. Hurricane Milton is expected to hit either as Category 3 or a Category 4 storm.

    Disney World to Busch Gardens: See Hurricane Milton Florida theme park closures

    Had plans to head to one of Florida's theme parks this week? All of the state's top parks have been closed for Milton, here's what to know:

    Disney World in Orlando, Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom

    On Wednesday, Oct. 9, the theme parks and Disney Springs will be closed in phases beginning at 1 p.m. ET:

    • Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park will close at 1 p.m.
    • Magic Kingdom, EPCOT and Disney Springs will close at 2 p.m.

    Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom park is also canceled for Thursday, Oct. 10. Event tickets will be refunded.

    They previously made some adjustments based on the latest weather forecast and some areas with unique environments:

    • Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground (including dining and recreation locations), the Copper Creek Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, and the Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa will close beginning at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9 and may stay closed until Sunday.
    • Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and the Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa are likely to remain closed until Sunday, Oct. 13.
    • The Copper Creek Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge will likely reopen on Friday, Oct. 11.

    Universal Orlando: Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, Wizarding World of Harry Potter

    On Wednesday, Oct. 9, Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure and Universal CityWalk will be open until 2 p.m., weather permitting, and will be closed on Thursday, Oct. 10.

    Volcano Bay will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday. Hotel operations will continue.

    Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Florida is canceled for Wednesday and Thursday.

    Busch Gardens Tampa Bay

    Busch Gardens officials sent a news release on Monday: "After reviewing the latest route of Hurricane Milton and to ensure the safety of our ambassadors, guests and animals, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay will be closed Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 8-10.

    "Our weather preparedness plan is in place and extra precautions have been taken to ensure the safety of our animals during this time."

    Howl-O-Scream is also canceled for Thursday, October 10. Tickets may be used for any remaining Howl-O-Scream event nights.

    SeaWorld Orlando

    SeaWorld Orlando, as well as Aquatica and Discovery Cove, will be closed Wednesday, Oct. 9 and Thursday, Oct. 10.

    Discovery Cove posted a statement for those scheduled to come during those dates.

    "Our Guest Services team is prepared to assist you with shifting your date to a surrounding date.     LEGOLAND Florida

    LEGOLAND Florida will be closed on Wednesday, Oct. 9 and Thursday, Oct. 10.

    When will Florida theme parks reopen after Hurricane Milton?

    Disney World : Officials have not released a reopening date; they advised that it is likely the theme parks will remain closed on Thursday, Oct. 10. Disney said it will consider opening Disney Springs on Thursday in the late afternoon, with limited offerings.

    Universal Orlando : As of Wednesday, Universal officials anticipate a full reopening of our destination, including Halloween Horror Nights, on Friday, Oct. 11 at our normal operating hours pending the outcome of storm impacts.

    Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, SeaWorld Orlando : Officials said to stay tuned for information regarding its parks reopening following the storm on Friday, Oct. 11.

    LEGOLAND Florida: Officials have not released a reopening date. As of Wednesday, it is scheduled to reopen on Friday, Oct. 11.

    Other Florida attractions, park closures

    • Gatorland : Will close the theme park Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 9 and 10, due to the Category 5 Hurricane Milton. Ghosts and Goblins Halloween event was still scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 12 and 13. Visit gatorland.com .
    • Fun Spot America : Orlando and Kissimmee parks will be closed on Wednesday, Oct. 9 and Thursday, Oct. 10.
    • Kennedy Space Center : NASA’s Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex will be closed Wednesday, Oct. 9, and Thursday, Oct. 10, due to expected severe weather from Hurricane Milton. The SpaceX Falcon Heavy Europa Clipper rocket launch at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, near Kennedy Space Center, was previously scheduled for Oct. 9. The heavily anticipated launch was postponed earlier this week due to the Category 5 storm.
