FLORISSANT, Mo – A Florissant man has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for fentanyl trafficking. Sheron L. Loggins, nicknamed “Bane,” 50, was sentenced for supplying fentanyl to a drug trafficking organization in southwest Missouri.

According to court documents, Loggins supplied more than 34 kilograms of fentanyl to the trafficking organization.

On November 14, 2022, Loggins pleaded guilty to helping traffic illegal drugs in Missouri. He admitted to providing fentanyl to a co-defendant, Jerry R. Wheeler, 49, of Springfield, who then distributed the drugs in the Springfield area from September 23, 2018, to November 14, 2019.

Police officers stopped Loggins on September 8, 2019, as he was traveling on Interstate 44 toward Springfield to deliver fentanyl. Officers searched his vehicle and found around 496 grams of fentanyl and a .45-caliber magazine loaded with five rounds of ammunition.

Loggins is the ninth defendant to be sentenced in this case, among 15 defendants who have pleaded guilty.
