Fiscal court allocates more funds to sheriff's office
The Floyd County Fiscal Court allocated additional funding to Sheriff John Hunt's office during its regular meeting June 19. PPD: Search still on for Johnson man who escaped Floyd jail custody
Police continued on the afternoon of June 24 to search for a Johnson County man who escaped from the custody of the Floyd County Detention Center. A Wayland man was arrested on a charge of trafficking in methamphetamine following an investigation by the Floyd County Sheriff's Department. A Floyd woman was arrested recently after allegedly stealing more than $117,000 from her employer over a matter of less than a month.
