Floyd woman charged with assisting escape
PRESTONSBURG, Ky. — The woman who allegedly helped a Floyd County inmate escape earlier this week is now facing criminal charges of her own. Thomas Price, 37, of Williamsport, was being held in the Floyd County Detention Center on pending charges in Floyd and Johnson counties. Those charges were related to incidents back in February, when he allegedly pointed a gun at authorities and then fled in Johnson County, then fled Prestonsburg Police in a chase that reached speeds of 110 mph.

Police roundup: Escaped Kentucky inmate arrested in Barboursville
BARBOURSVILLE — An inmate who escaped custody of the Floyd County Jail in Kentucky was taken into custody in Barboursville on Monday. Thomas Price, 37, was arrested several months ago after an “extensive manhunt,” according to a social media post from the Prestonburg Police Department in Kentucky. He was receiving medical treatment at Highlands Regional ARH in Kentucky when he escaped sometime between late Sunday night to early Monday morning, the police department wrote.
