Wilmington Man Arrested After Traffic Stop in Dewey Beach
A traffic stop by Dewey Beach Police Friday night led to the arrest of a Wilmington man on a variety of charges. Police detected the odor of burnt marijuana coming from inside the vehicle and the driver handed police a New York driver’s license belonging to another person. The driver was later identified as 36 year old Ramone Shy of Wilmington. Shy attempted to run off on foot, but was arrested after a brief foot race. A search of the vehicle turned up black gloves, a flashlight, wire cutters, glass window punch and a flat-head screwdriver – which are commonly used for burglary. Shy is charged with the following offenses:

Flash flood warning affecting Philadelphia County until early Monday
A flash flood warning was issued by the National Weather Service on Sunday at 7:59 p.m. in effect until Monday at midnight for Philadelphia County. "At 7:59 p.m., Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly," explains the weather service. "Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other drainage and low-lying areas."

WFCN – On July 21, mass retailer Target Corp. will launch three new locations in California, Missouri, and Pennsylvania, expanding its network of over 2,000 stores. Target plans to open a shop in Lomita, California. This will be the company’s 318th outlet in California and its 127th in the Los Angeles, Long Beach, and Anaheim area. The Lomita store, which will employ about 70 people, is about 33,000 square feet and is located at 2130 Pacific Coast Highway. It will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week.
