FOLEY, Ala. (WKRG) — It was an evening for every special needs girl to feel like a princess. Saturday night the first “Coastal Camellia Princess Pageant” was held for girls with special needs.

It was at the Foley Civic Center. All the girls got a fancy dress to borrow and hair and make-up.
They even got to play with some Disney princesses.

It was put together by the owner of the Coastal Camellia Pageant Company Nikki Walker.

She told us last week “building these girls up and building their self-confidence and showing them what they’re capable of. It’s basically the same thing as sports, except for they get to wear prettier clothes and prettier shoes.” They had about a dozen girls take part in this non-competitive event.
