Following a recent tease on Facebook, a longtime meteorologist at Channel 6 in Philadelphia has announced he is leaving the station and moving down south. And as we opined yesterday, we had the chances of that actually happening at "incredibly low to almost zero," after all, very few people actually ever leave 6ABC, so this must have been an excellent opportunity.

Conshohocken Baseball & Softball League Batting Cage Update – How You Can Help!. Youth baseball has officially been played in Conshohocken since 1955. Since then there have been a few changes. The first few seasons were played at the Conshohocken Bocce Club or more commonly known as the CBC Club. As it moved to Sutcliffe Park, more divisions and age groups were added. Before softball grew in popularity, girls were invited to join the boys teams as time went on. Starting in a month or so, boys and girls will be able to practice their hitting more in the batting cages being built by the Conshohocken Baseball & Softball League.

Philadelphia man pleads guilty to killing neighbor in dispute over snoring
A Philadelphia man has pleaded guilty to stabbing and killing his neighbor after the neighbor threatened him over his loud snoring. Christopher Casey, 56, of Upper Morland, was sentenced in Montgomery County Court on Aug. 7 to 11.5 to 23 months in county jail followed by three years’ probation after pleading guilty to the manslaughter charge and possession of an instrument of crime, according to court documents.
