FOND DU LAC – A fire early Sunday morning at 567 County Road K destroyed a garage and damaged several vehicles, but no one was hurt or displaced by the blaze.

Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue Department said a call was received reporting the fire at 1:22 a.m. Sunday. By the time crews arrived, they found a detached two-car garage heavily involved in fire with the roof already collapsed and a pickup truck next to the structure also heavily involved in fire.

The department said crews were able to attack the fire with multiple hose lines and knock the fire down in approximately 30 minutes.

Crews continued to work to extinguish the fire for another hour, which the department said was hampered by the debris from the collapsed roof.
