Taco Bell is bringing fans a brand-new sauce. Though it isn't doing it alone.

On Monday, the fast food giant announced the addition of Disha Hot, a sauce inspired by musician Omar Apollo’s family’s secret hot sauce recipe. According to Taco Bell, this first-of-its-kind sauce packet partnership brings together "savory, smoky flavors, capturing the flavors perfected by Omar’s mother in her original recipe," which was such a popular staple in their house growing up that Apollo and his siblings would request it for their birthday dinners and milestone events.

Taco Bell noted that it's the perfect pairing to its curated Disha Hot Discovery Box, which includes three sauce packets along with Taco Bell menu favorites. Or, real fans can purchase the bottled sauce à la carte and can put it on anything they wish.

“Partnering with Taco Bell is incredibly important to me because it allows me to honor my Mexican heritage and give thanks to my mom's constant love and support by sharing her Disha Hot Sauce recipe with a larger audience," Apollo shared with Food & Wine. "This collaboration fulfills a long-held dream of bringing my family’s legacy to life, and it resonates deeply with my personal values and artistic identity."

But the duo didn't stop at just the sauce. To honor the collaboration, Taco Bell and Apollo also created a limited-edition Taco Bell x Disha Hot liquid-infused vinyl of his latest album, “God Said No,” which will be available to Taco Bell Rewards Members in limited quantities via the Taco Bell app starting September 24 at 2 p.m. PST.

As for how the collaboration came together, Taylor Montgomery, Taco Bell's chief marketing officer, explained that they got to know Apollo through its " Feed the Beat " program, which helps both fans find new artists and helps artists by providing them with $500 in Taco Bell gift cards to ensure they can get some tasty snacks while on the road.

“... Through our time together, we learned more about his past and present, including how much his family means to him and the sacrifices his parents made to help him pursue his passion," Montgomery said. "One of Omar’s personal goals was to bring his family’s secret hot sauce, Disha Hot, to more people, and we knew we wanted to help make that a reality."

To get specific about this sauce, Taco Bell shared that its ingredients list includes roasted tomatillos, white vinegar, peppers, onions, tomatoes, lime juice, and a "family-secret spice blend," which does indeed sound like it pairs perfectly with that Disha Hot Discovery Box that comes with a Cheesy Gordita Crunch, a Doritos Locos Taco, a Crunchy Taco, chips and nacho cheese sauce, and a medium fountain drink.

But again, if you want more sauce, it can be yours for just .20 cents a packet. The sauce is available for Taco Bell Rewards Members starting Tuesday, September 24, and will become available to all starting Thursday, September 26. But, if you love it, you better stock up as it's only available "while supplies last."

"Taco Bell’s support through the ‘Feed the Beat’ program and their embrace of authenticity and the cultural rebels make this partnership feel like a natural fit," Apollo added. "As a longtime fan of Taco Bell, I’m thrilled to bring Disha Hot to their menu and keep our family recipe and legacy alive for both my fans and Taco Bell fans alike.”
