Pringles' Dill Pickle chips is expected to hit supermarket shelves nationwide this month.

A few years ago, you could have fairly called the rise of pickle flavoring a flash in the pan, but at this point, it seems like it could be here to stay. The dill-forward fad has continued unabated, with everything from Spicy Dill Pickle Goldfish crackers to Baked By Melissa x Claussen Pickle Cupcakes hitting the market in recent months. And this week, Pringles, maker of America’s favorite stackable potato crisp, has announced its own return to the trend with the re-release of its popular offering: Pringles Dill Pickle.

First released in 2022, Pringles Dill Pickle is a product that has established itself among pickle fans with what the brand describes as a “salty, tangy flavor experience with a touch of herbal dill.” A press release provided to Food & Wine notes that in the years since its debut, Pringles Dill Pickle has become the second most requested re-release. (The top requested flavor was Pringles Honey Mustard , which made its comeback earlier this year.)

“From TikTok videos to fan requests, the nation’s dill pickle craving is undeniable — and Pringles always aims to satisfy the latest trending flavor craving,” said Pringles’ U.S. head of marketing, Mauricio Jenkins. “With the return of Pringles Dill Pickle, we’re bringing joy to our die-hard fans and giving first-timers the chance to indulge in the fanfare while joining in on the pickle trend.”

The Pringles x Hot Ones collaboration is also back this month with a new flavor: Los Calientes Barbacoa.

“Joining in on the pickle trend” is right — the company has caught yet another upward trend wave in pickle’s popularity. The flavor has been a consistent seller for snack brands in recent years, but TikTok is taking pickle experimentation to the next level. A TikTok video from May with nearly half a million likes instructs viewers on why they should order Dr. Pepper with pickles in it: “Don’t knock it till you try it,” the poster told viewers. Additionally, a New York deli earned viral fame this year when a TikTok video circulated showing the deli’s pickle sandwich, whose bread is replaced by a halved pickle hugging the cold cuts.

Pringles Dill Pickle will be available starting in October at select retailers nationwide. If you want to check where they’re available near you, go to Pringles.com and click “Where To Buy.”

In addition to Dill Pickle, Pringles is also bringing back two spicy flavors from its Pringles x Hot Ones collaboration, as well as introducing an all-new spicy flavor to the lineup. Los Calientes Rojo returns with “a punchy, smoky blend of serrano and habanero chiles,” and Los Calientes Verde features “the perfect balance of spicy applewood smoked red jalapeños and zesty habanero.” The new Pringles Hot Ones Los Calientes Barbacoa, meanwhile, will contain “a blend of chipotle and smoky jalapeño flavor and earthy herbs and spices.” These, like the Dill Pickle flavor, will be available starting this month at select retailers nationwide.
