    David Chang Just Dropped A New Line Of Cookware — These Are Our Favorites

    This month, David Chang announced his partnership with Meyer Cookware and the launching of a new collection that includes his take on four classic pieces, each a core kitchen staple . We asked Chef Chang why he chose to partner with Meyer, and he said, “What really drew me to Meyer is that they don’t just make cookware for the sake of it — they rethink it.” He continues by saying that Meyer collects data from home cooks and the tools they use so they can design great products.

    It’s hard not to be a fan of David Chang. From his esteemed restaurants to his wildly popular podcasts and multiple Emmy-nominated television shows, it’s no overstatement that this man has undoubtedly become one of our generation’s culinary legends. His culinary knowledge, paired with his accessibility and wide-eyed, contagious enthusiasm for great food, make him a joy to watch, and his career is one worth following.

    After preparing several meals with my own David Chang Wok, this chef is willing to bet that this collection is only the beginning of what will undoubtedly become a hugely successful line of cookware.

    “My favorite piece is definitely the wok . It’s such a workhorse in the kitchen — whether you’re stir-frying, steaming, or even deep-frying, it handles everything.     We asked Chef Chang about his experiences cooking with these pans, and he shared something that happened while filming his popular Netflix show, saying, “Recently on Dinner Time Live , I covered the surface of the frypan with duck confit and crisped it over low heat. When it was ready, I flipped the confit over onto a plate, and the end result was a duck pancake of sorts. The nonstick pan was perfect for this exact move.”
